The Beaches of Goa India

The Beaches of Goa India

I took this perfect beach photo after the worst flight delay in human history, but that is India for you. Everything is late, everything is loud, and everything breaks down. If you can accept that, traveling through India will be a breeze for you. I was in Mumbai and spur of the moment decided I wanted to fly to Goa. I needed to spend time at the beach. It's literally an hour long flight, but my flight kept getting delayed. I must of waited in the freezing cold air conditioned airport for 10 hours, but I made it. My flight came in at 10pm and I was taken to my hotel which was supposed to be on the beach in Goa. It was pitch black and I couldn't see anything so I went to sleep and hoped for the best.

I woke up and this picturesque beach was literally waiting for me to walk on it. Getting on a plane and flying to Goa was so worth it. I was in India, but in this moment I felt like I was in a lagoon of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie. It was awesome. The day before I had been in Mumbai which is the polar opposite of this moment. If you know anything about India is that it's hot, it's dirty, and there is garbage and cows everywhere. It's crowded and full of people on motorcycles honking all around you while you inhale exhaust fumes. Namaste somewhere else. You either love India or you hate it. I'm pretty easy going for the most part so I loved traveling through India, but I cherished the moments when it was quiet and I was surrounded by nature like this Goan beach walk I was having.

Every beach I went to in Goa was clean and pristine. The beaches in Goa India are cleaner than any Maine beach I have ever been to believe it or not. I was blown away by this. The sand is clean and every so often you would find a pocket of bright blue and purple seashells. The Arabian Sea is so rich and full of life with dolphins and other fish. I would watch the fisherman keeping it real paddling out on their rustic boats made of wood and drop their nets into the water without machines old school style. A simple life is all you need sometimes.

Goa Beaches are the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in my entire life (and I know my beaches). Goa is a pretty big place so if I had to narrow it down I would say Palolem Beach in Goa is my absolute favorite beach. I will have to write another post about it, it's too perfect not to share. There is nothing slumdog millionaire about the beaches in Goa. You will feel as though you have been transported to the Caribbean or something waiting for Jack Sparrow to pick you up on the Black Pearl. Namaste right here.
