A Nautical Bohemia...
Beachdashery is a jewelry line that is inspired by the sand and the sea, founded by Kate Clark. She started making beach sand jewelry back in 2004, the very first company in the USA. The jewelry line began as a hobby that allowed Kate to be creative in her free time. She traveled all over selling her jewelry at craft fairs and festivals in Boston, Providence, and Portland, as well as online. Soon after, she was able to quit her day job and the rest is history.
Beachdashery sells to over 1000 gift shops, museums, boutiques, and department stores throughout the country. All of our jewelry is handmade in our studio. We also have our very own retail shop located on Ocean Street in South Portland Maine. You can find our jewelry as well as other local, handmade emerging brands that we LOVE.
We truly believe that your stories and moments are best told through the gift of our jewelry. We hope it inspires you to share these moments with others. We want our jewelry to be meaningful for you and reflect your own personal style.
We are thankful for all of you who have supported our jewelry brand. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to improve your shopping experience.
Beachdashery® is a division of Boheme Chic LLC.
Kate is originally from Florida and grew up on the beach. She spent every day after school collecting shells and playing in the sand. She made her way to Maine and studied Computer Science at the University of Southern Maine and New Media/Graphic Design at Maine College of Art. After several years of working in an office as a tax accountant, she left her career to sell her handmade jewelry.
During her first year of business, her jewelry line was picked up in over 90 shops across the country. She's been growing her jewelry brand ever since. She is fearless, creative, and embodies her free spirit. Every year, she escapes the frigid Maine winters to travel the beaches all over the world and has an adventure.
She oversees the creative direction of the Beachdashery brand which includes product development, business strategy, and marketing. In her free time, Kate enjoys relaxing, traveling, and taking time to walk on the beach is a must.
