Lane's Island in Vinalhaven Maine is such a beautiful place.  The shoreline can be a bit rocky and there are a few beaches that make the perfect backdrop for an afternoon picnic.  The sand here is so pretty...it's very light and made up of mostly seashells, tiny bits of rock, driftwood, so beautiful!
