I'm very excited to announce that Beachdashery is growing and expanding our retail business.  For years, we have had our own make shift jewelry shop located in our studio somewhere between our shipping department and break room area.  Imagine some fold up tables with a pile of jewelry dumped on it in a very pretty way.  It wasn't ideal, but it worked for a little while. We will now be opening our own little retail shop on Ocean Street in South Portland, located in the heart of the Knightville neighborhood.  I couldn't be more excited for this new chapter of our business.  It's the perfect location on South Portland's waterfront.

We have a little bit of renovating to do, some wholesale tradeshows to attend, and a vacation to the Columbian coast to take, but everything is looking good and we are scheduled to open the first week of April.  We will be selling our jewelry as well as other items from mostly Maine made makers.  Some of those Maine makers include Seabags, Cobalt Sky Studio, Sea Ropes, Cape Porpoise Trading Co, and many others.  A couple of my favorites who are from the New England area are Birchrose and Blue Anchor.  There are so many amazing brands all under one roof.  In addition to being able to walk two minutes to the water and view of Portland, the Knightville neighborhood surrounding our shop is pretty awesome too.  We have some pretty cool neighbors like Verbena, Taco Trio, Earth Angel Arts, Black Lab Arts, CIA Cafe, Bridgeway Restaurant, Foulmouthed Brewing, Snow Squall Restaurant, and so many other local businesses.  It's a great community and Beachdashery is excited to become it's newest addition and be a part of it all.  Stay tuned for party details the closer we get to opening our new retail shop space.  Yay for small business and shopping local!
